Upcoming game releases
What is coming out over the next weeks, in chronological order: title, date and the platforms the game is announced for. No sign-up, no newsletter, no pre-order prompt.
The list is there for an overview rather than completeness — it shows the upcoming dates recorded in the database and deliberately leaves out announcements without a fixed date.
Coming next
Dates and platforms from the IGDB games database. Cached, so a few minutes behind.
Where the dates come from
The data comes from IGDB, an open games database in which release dates and platforms are maintained. We add nothing of our own and evaluate nothing of our own: what you see is the state recorded there at the time of the lookup. A date that was just moved can therefore look briefly out of date here.
Why dates slip
Release dates are statements of intent, not commitments — slipping by weeks or months is the norm in this industry, not the exception. The least reliable ones are dates far in the future, or those that were announced as a quarter and only pinned to a day later. A date in this list means: this is how it is currently announced.
What the platform line means
Listed are the platforms the title is announced for on that date. If a game ships staggered — PC first, consoles months later — only the platform of the nearer date appears here. The later edition shows up as its own entry once its date comes closer.
Permanently on your new tab
In NX1 the same list runs as a widget on the gaming start page, right next to the deals, the Twitch streams and your tiles. You notice the next date in passing when you open a tab, instead of looking it up.
Frequently asked questions
Why is an announced game missing?
Usually because it has no fixed date yet. Titles announced only with a year or a quarter appear once a concrete day is recorded. Very small releases are also not always present in the database.
Are consoles included, or only PC?
Both. The platform line names what the date applies to — PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch stand side by side.
How far ahead does the list reach?
It shows the next upcoming dates rather than a full year’s calendar. That keeps the overview short and means the entries at the top are actually about to matter.
Can I get a reminder for a date?
Not on this page — it sends nothing and creates no account. In NX1 you can instead put a countdown on your start page that counts down to a date you choose.
